North Port Innovation Corridor

In support of the City of North Port’s priorities, our staff submitted a comprehensive RFP for the North Port Innovation Corridor to the Florida First Sites Program, included is 515 acres for future business park and light industrial. We were thrilled the site was accepted; it is one of only ten sites in the program this year.

D-Trans LLC

D-Trans LLC, is a local company that is expanding its shipping, warehousing, fleet maintenance and HQ office facilities by 27,000 square feet with plans to add 50 new jobs. We look forward to the opening of the new HQ and facility expansion in Fall 2023.

Technology & Entrepreneurship Network

EDC Technology & Entrepreneurship Network, The second meeting of the EDC Technology & Entrepreneurship Network Working Group on June 28th. The EDC was joined by 30 participants from a wide range of backgrounds, including local entrepreneurs and technology startups, investors, private capital and lenders, education and government. The Technology and Entrepreneurship Network is hitting the ground running with planning for future events, meet-ups and strategic activities that the EDC can facilitate along with the volunteer network.
