DESCRIPTION
The Breeze transit system combines traditional bus and trolley routes with OnDemand rideshare service. In 2023 the transit agency provided nearly 2.2 million rides.
SERVICES/PROGRAMS
• Breeze routes provide transportation along major corridors in the northern half of the county. Service on US 41 spans from MCAT’s Bradenton Station (Manatee County) all the way to North Port. Fare is $1.50; monthly passes are available for $50. Use the Breeze Rider website or mobile app to plan trips and track the bus.
• Breeze OnDemand allows the passenger to set his/her pickup and drop-off locations within a service zone. Other passengers may be picked up or dropped off during the ride. Fare is $2. There are four Breeze OnDemand service zones; each zone has the ability to connect the passenger to Breeze routes for further travel.
1. Longboat Key/Lido Key/Downtown Sarasota (connect to Breeze routes at the Downtown Station)
2. Siesta Key (connect to Breeze routes via Route 33 or at Siesta Key Mall or Gulf Gate Station)
3. Venice/Englewood Area (connect to Breeze routes via Route 9 or at the Venice Train Depot)
4. North Port Area (connect to Breeze routes via Route 9 or North Port City Hall)
